About

Bree Shannon

Bree Shannon, also known affectionately as Bretina, or Tina, is a native of Atlanta, GA who started her journey in performing at the age of six . She studied tap, jazz and ballet for 20+ years, with tap being her favorite and strongest dance style. She had her first musical theater audition at  age 12 when she was invited by a friend to come along for their audition, and ended up being cast in her first musical. The stage became her passion! She was rooted in the church and grew up singing in the choir and leading solos. All of which helped shape her vocal style and abilities. She accredits her soulful tone, vocal diversity, and the spirit in which she performs to her love for Christ and her life experiences.

Unfortunately, fear of not making it in the business kept her from pursing a career in performance. She attended Florida State University for 3 years, before transferring and obtaining her B.A. degree in Industrial Engineering Technology at Southern Polytechnic State University.

After working in Corporate America and being out of the entertainment industry for over 13 years, an unexpected layoff became a window of opportunity for her to pursue her passion for performing and entertaining. She took a leap of faith and started auditioning for shows.

She began working for Carnival Cruise Lines as a featured vocalist and dancer, performing on the cruise ships with them for over a decade. During that time she experienced traveling the world and doing what she loves in a way she never imagined.

She is also a professional TV, film, commercial, and voice-over talent and a member of the Screen Actor’s Guild and Actor’s Equity Association, with several credits to her name. Performing on stage for a live audience is her greatest passion.

Upon leaving the cruise industry, Bree started Breezway Entertainment, LLC and opened B Sharp Coaching Studios, a studio dedicated to coaching, training and teaching vocal and performance skills to anyone with the heart and passion to perform. She does workshops and classes with the Atlanta Workshop Players Performing Arts School, also participating in their annual summer camp , and she performs with local corporate bands, while doing different music projects and productions around the city of Atlanta.
